Giorgio Armani sized Samsung Phone

It may be fashion week, but today at his fashion show, Giorgio Armani announced a new alliance, with Korean electronics giant Samsung. Together they unveiled a new phone, designed by Giorgio Armani and engineered by Samsung. The new ultra slim credit card-sized Giorgio Armani – Samsung phone will be available in Europe from November and as if to distance them from the competition, announced that they are also developing an LCD TV together.

The touch screen model features the cutting edge technology we’ve come to expect from a Samsung model (including a 3 Megapixel camera and 2.6″ LCD display), together with the sleek elegance we know and love from the Giorgio Amrani’s label. Armani said of the collaboration, ‘Today fashion has expanded to encompass our way of life, not just how we dress, but how we design our home, the hotels we stay in, the car we drive and the technology we buy. We make as much of a personal statement with the mobile phones we carry or the televisions we have in our living rooms as we do with the shoes and bags we wear or the furnishings we place in our home.’

Armani, no stranger to brand extension, already has a home collection, a kitchen, an interior design service, cafes, bars, restaurants, a nightclub and hotels in the making. The TV, which will unveil in January, will be part of his Armani/Casa collection. Designer: Giorgia Armani
